English teaching position in Palmi, Calabria

The Stamford School of English is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Early Years & Young Learners English Teacher to join our team in Palmi, Calabria.

We are seeking a teacher who can create a warm, positive and stimulating learning environment for young children, combining language learning with play, creativity, movement, stories, songs and age-appropriate classroom routines.

The ideal candidate will:

  • have native-speaker proficiency in English across all four skills;
  • have experience teaching Early Years and Young Learners, ideally between the ages of 3 and 12;
  • be able to plan and deliver engaging, playful and communicative English lessons;
  • understand the developmental and emotional needs of young children;
  • use stories, songs, games, crafts, movement and phonics effectively;
  • build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues;
  • have strong classroom-management and organisational skills;
  • be reliable, creative, patient and enthusiastic;
  • feel confident using digital technology and interactive teaching resources;
  • be committed to safeguarding, professional development and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

A CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent TEFL qualification is preferred. Applicants with alternative teaching qualifications and relevant experience with young children will also be considered.
